SELECTING YOUR APPLIANCES

We at Elite Appliances are committed to making your appliance selection a pleasant experience. To this end we recommend that you consider the following points before you settle on your purchase.

- Sinks
If a sink is ordered, ensure the bowl side is specified correctly paying particular attention to the placement of a dishwasher under it, as this will determine the positioning of which side the bowl needs to be.
- Rangehoods
These units do not come with ducting. So you will need to order it as a separate item as requirements for each application can vary greatly. Ensure that your installer has allowed for adequate venting (preferably to atmosphere) in the straightest and shortest possible line. Rangehoods, even high performance ones, can only perform properly when vented adequately. It is also important to check that the flue height that comes with your unit is long enough to meet the height of your ceiling once your hood is installed.
- Colour
Colour of appliances is as specified (e.g. s/steel, matt black white etc.)
- Ovens
Almost all our ovens are electric so if you are after a gas oven please ensure this is specified.
- Cooktops
Units come automatically in Natural Gas. Where L.P.G is required please make sure that your consultant is made aware.
- Dishwashers
Where an integrated dishwasher is specified (to match your kitchen furniture) ensure that your cabinet maker is aware that he needs to supply and fit a door from the same material as your kitchen furniture. Where you require a stainless steel door, these are an optional extra and need to be ordered with the unit. Installation is not included, but is available as an optional extra.
- Refrigerators
Please ensure that you have adequate space for the unit selected, paying particular attention to the depth. These units can be considerably deeper than they appear on the showroom floor. Where left or right hand opening doors are an option, ensure that this is specified correctly. Right hand opening means that the door hinge is on the right hand side. For units with an ice and water facility, your plumber will need to supply a water connection, which should be located in an adjoining cupboard and not at the rear of the unit. (Similar to a dishwasher connection).
- Dryers
Take into account that dryers produce steam and they may need to be vented to atmosphere. Where this is not possible it may be better to consider a condenser dryer which does not require venting. Please ask your consultant.
